SFC Joins SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards Program
St. Francis College (SFC) is pleased to announce that it has joined the SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards program, which encourages savings for college.
SFC is one of 440 four-year private colleges nationwide encouraging families to save for college by honoring Tuition Rewards points, which are similar to frequent-flyer miles. Families earn Tuition Rewards through SAGE’s network of financial affiliates, including banks, credit unions, healthcare insurers, marketing organizations and financial planners and advisors.
"Many Catholic colleges and universities, including some Franciscan ones, are partners in the SAGE Tuition Rewards program," explained Robert Oliva, Assistant Vice-President for Enrollment Management at SFC. “Providing affordable options for future Terriers is mission-critical to SFC, and SAGE helps connect these high-achieving students to the College. For us, the partnership is a match made in heaven.”
Each year, participating families typically earn Tuition Rewards points. Member colleges are able to recruit participating students when they reach high school age. When a student applies to a member college, the Tuition Rewards account-holder must submit a rewards statement to the school. If the student is admitted and matriculates, the participating college or university is committed to giving the student a scholarship at least equal to the size of the Tuition Rewards points — up to a maximum of one year’s tuition — spread evenly over a projected four years of attendance, starting with the first year of college.
“St. Francis College has long been distinguished for providing a first-rate, personalized private education at an affordable price,” noted Oliva. “The SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards program will make that quality education even more accessible and to a greater number of students and their families.”
