SFC Students Interpret Laudato Si

For St. Clare & St. Francis Week, a group of St. Francis College students under the tutelage of Honors Progam Director and Management Professor John Dilyard presented their interpretations of the Pope Francis Encyclical, Laudato Si on September 29, 2015.

The three students who presented were:

Nora Martini, a senior Honors student pursuing a major in Chemistry with a minor in Biology. Her presentation gives a Franciscan view of global warming and offers the costs of doing nothing.

Kwun Chan, a junior pursuing a dual major in Biology and Nursing. He speaks about exploitation of the poor, conservation, and consumption.

Peter Cabranes, a junior Communication Arts major focusing on film studies discusses water, population growth, and the need for local action.

In addition to his role as Director of the Honors Program, Professor Dilyard also coordinates the College's involvement in the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
