St. Clare & St. Francis Week Concludes

A week-long celebration of the Franciscan spirit concluded Saturday, October 4 with a collection of St. Francis College students volunteering to arrange floral decoration for senior citizen shut-ins around Brooklyn. The flowers were donated through a partnership with the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and elderly service organization, Heights and Hills.

The week began on September 29 with the 11th Annual Franciscan Lecture delivered by Fr. Daniel P. Horan, OFM, author of, Dating God: Live and Love in the Way of St. Francis.

Professor of Religion, Alexandria M. Egler offered a talk on her recent travels, St. Francis of Assisi and the Camino de Santiago - A Pilgrimage Through Spain.

Other events during the week included the Honors Student presentation, A Franciscan Response to Climate Change, an Interfaith Prayer Service, Blessing of the Animals, and a Mass for Feast of St. Francis.
