Dennis Anderson has stepped away from his role as Provost and Senior Vice-President for Academic Affairs and will be on study leave for a period of time, after which he will return as a full-time tenured professor in St. Francis College’s management and IT department.

Dr. Anderson has been a major contributor to the College for the better part of two decades and has well earned this study-leave opportunity. It has been a pleasure to have Dr. Anderson on my team as Provost and Senior Vice-President for Academic Affairs for the last 10 months, during which time we have achieved many important objectives and goals for the
College, including:

• the addition of and submissions for multiple B.S. and M.S. degree programs
• the implementation of our forward-thinking Boutique Services Model
• improving external College relationships
• the appointment of key leadership positions
• crucial insights, guidance and collaborative efforts with the President’s Cabinet

We thank Dr. Anderson for his selfless contributions and Franciscan spirit of true dedication to service.

The intention of the College is to conduct a national search for the its next chief academic officer. We will share additional information about this process with the St. Francis College community as it becomes available.

As we conduct our search, John Edwards, Interim Vice-President of Academic Affairs and Academic Dean, will continue in that role until such time as the College appoints its next chief academic officer. All reporting lines to Dr. Anderson will move to Dr. Edwards. Additional Provost and Senior Vice-President for Academic Affairs responsibilities may also be distributed to Gale Gibson-Gayle, the College’s Vice-President of Academic Affairs for Partnerships and Enrollment, Dean of Graduate, Online and Professional Programs, and Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO).
