Students Meet Federal Reserve Chair
On February 9, St. Francis College students Wandile Banda, Christopher Gonzalez, Andrea Lancianese and Matteo Nardelli attended an event in Washington, D.C., where they got to meet the chairman of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell (front row, center, in the photo above).
Last year, these students participated in the Fed Challenge, a national competition organized by the Federal Reserve in which college students are asked to give a presentation on the state of the U.S. economy and offer a monetary-policy recommendation.
Kudos to the students and their faculty advisors, economics professors Olivia Bullio Mattos and Ali Alper Alemdar.
