Uwe Gielen: The Changing Lives of More Than 2.2 Billion Children
Uwe P. Gielen, Ph.D., professor of Psychology at St. Francis College and Director of the Institute for International and Cross-Cultural Psychology spoke at the College on April 22, 2016 about The Changing Lives of More than 2.2 Billion Children: A Global View.
The presentation discussed global trends that are shaping the lives of children around the world. Dr. Gielen compared the lives of children and adolescents in low-income countries and areas such as rural India, nomadic Tibet, and Mali with the lives of those residing in high-income countries located in North America, Europe, and East Asia.
