Exciting News About SFC's Future!

We're thrilled to welcome you to the start of a historic new chapter in St. Francis College's 160-plus year history, a major turning point for our Terrier family.

Today, we're announcing that St. Francis College will move to a new campus in September 2022. The relocation is part of SFC Forward, the vision for the College's future in the coming years.

Our new campus will be in The Wheeler building at 181 Livingston Street in downtown Brooklyn, a few blocks from our current home on Remsen Street.

Covering three floors that are custom built for our community, the thoughtfully designed contemporary space featuring state-of-the-art flexible labs and classrooms and the latest technology incorporated throughout will be an inspiring learning environment in which every person can thrive.

Remsen Street has been our beloved home for more than 60 years, just as our campus on Butler Street had been previously. But with a rapidly-expanding student body and with new technology and other innovations required to prepare students to be leaders in the 21st century global economy, we are outgrowing our current facilities.

After careful consideration, the Board of Trustees in coordination with College leadership concluded that the time is right to relocate. Such a move is a prudent long-term investment that will allow us to continue serving our students at the highest level, spring boarding them to be lifelong learners with fulfilling, successful careers.

SFC Forward involves more than our relocation. We are introducing new degree programs that meet market demands while increasing the online learning opportunities available to students. We're also deepening our commitment to diversity and inclusion, through an academic curriculum that is attuned to diverse voices, through recruitment and retention of the very best diverse employees, and through ongoing training and special events that promote open dialogue and understanding about pressing contemporary issues.

You will hear much more from us and other College leaders in the weeks ahead and throughout the coming year, as we prepare to open our new campus and roll out other parts of SFC Forward. Please visit sfc.edu/forward to learn more about what's in store.

We are excited to embark on SFC Forward with you.
