Current Grade Policy

At their Assembly in May 2009, the faculty voted to change the College grading policy. Beginning with the Fall 2009 semester, faculty has the option of awarding minus (-) grades, including A -, B -, and C- at the undergraduate level, and A- and B- in the graduate level courses. The change allows faculty to more accurately evaluate student progress and mastery of material. The addition of these grading options will also change the scale according to which a student’s grade point average is calculated. However, this conversion will not affect any grades earned prior to the Fall 2009 semester.
