Timothy Cecere is the President of St. Francis College

A forward-thinking, strategic leader and seasoned steward of institutional transformation, President Cecere served as Interim President from July 2023 to April 2024. Prior to assuming the position of Interim President of the College, he was Acting President from March 2023 to July 2023, and Chief Operating Officer from August 2022 to March 2023. Prior to commencing employment at St. Francis College, President Cecere was a member of the Board of Trustees.

President Cecere brings decades of experience in institutional effectiveness, administrative operations, strategic positioning, human resources, and talent development and management from his work with WPP, the world’s largest advertising, media and public relations company.

President Cecere holds degrees in psychology and business from St. John’s University and a master’s degree in organizational psychology and development from Columbia University. Throughout his career, President Cecere has built strong relationships between the corporate world and academia, serving as a guest lecturer, trainer and curriculum designer at many institutions in our region including Syracuse University, Hofstra University and The City College of New York to name a few.

Born in Brooklyn, President Cecere is among the first in his family to attend college and is truly committed to the role St. Francis College can play in the city where he was raised. President Cecere is also the proud parent of a St. Francis College graduate.
