FACULTY-LED PROGRAMS
Below is a list of SFC faculty-led short term study abroad programs. These programs are eligible for SFC Faculty-Led Study Abroad Scholarships, as well as external scholarships.
Centro de Estudios Hispanicas de Segovia, Spain
This program gives students the opportunity to expand their horizon and perspectives with an international experience. Students are immersed into the culture, language, and life of Spanish people from the Iberian Peninsula. Participants have the opportunity to gain fluency and confidence in communicating with locals as they travel throughout Spain.
Students develop an awareness of the diversity of different levels of European cultures and an appreciation for the complexities of human intercultural relations. While at their destination, students take SFC courses taught by SFC faculty. Faculty-led study abroad in Segovia, Spain, is offered during the summer 1 session. While earning credits toward a major, minor, or college requirement, this life changing experience is a cultural adventure of a lifetime.

FACAMP - Sao Paulo, Brazil
The faculty-led program to Brazil introduces students to Brazil’s recent economic development, its social and political consequences, as well as the practical details of doing business in Brazil. SFC students take a two-week course over the Summer on major political, social, and cultural
developments in Brazil during the 20th and 21st centuries.
The program is taught in English and takes place in Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil, at FACAMP campus, a partner institution. In addition to traditional lectures and discussions with Brazilian Professors, students will have several technical visits including to the Brazilian Stock Exchange, the Brazilian Central Bank, select companies, and guided cultural visits in Campinas and Sao Paulo City.
Participants will stay in a hotel near FACAMP campus for the duration of the program. The course counts for 3 credits and it is open to all majors.
Students will learn:
- The market structure, its major players and demand for various business sectors
- The business environment, investment opportunities, existing restrictions for foreign investment and investors, and how to open a company in Brazil
- The many aspects of foreign trade
- Banking and finance, such as sources of finance available for companies operating in Brazil
- Labor relations, general accounting practices, and taxation, discussing the tax burden for corporations
Eligibility:
- Taught in English, no knowledge of Portuguese required
- 2.5 GPA

OTHER SUMMER PROGRAMS
Below is a list of summer programs with our partners. These programs are not eligible for SFC Faculty-Led Study Abroad Scholarships, but they are eligible for external scholarships.
MICEFA-Public Health and Medicine in Paris, France
Are you a 1st or 2nd-year student in Nursing, Public Health, or Medicine? Then the MICEFA Public Health and Medicine in Paris is the program for you. Course modules will focus on various aspects of public health practices such as Healthcare and Poverty, Woman and Children’s Health, Emergency Medicine, Mental Health, HIV, COVID and more. Each module will be complemented with lectures and visits to local hospitals and health-related organizations such as OECD, médecins du monde, or the Pasteur Institute.

Eligibility:
- Approval by your home institution
- Be at least in your 3rd or 4th year of your Undergraduate Degree (1st or 2nd year of Nursing Degree)
- Recommended to have taken at least 3-4 semesters of college-level French (B1 level), but not mandatory (Course will be taught in English, visits and observation in French & English with staff to help if you don't understand)
- 2.5 GPA

MICEFA-Paris, France: French Language and Culture
Are you interested in studying French in Paris? Want to experience French culture first hand? Then the MICEFA French Language and Culture program is perfect for you. North American university students can spend 4 weeks in the City of Lights and earn up to 6 university credits by participating in MICEFA’s summer programs. Our programs welcome all levels of French and is an excellent way to experience French culture by studying in one of the most attractive cities in the world!

Hellenic American University - Athens, Greece
Live and Study in Athens, Greece!
Take your classes at Hellenic American University (HAUniv), an accredited American institution. Each year we welcome individual college/university students for a summer semester. Students are free to take any of the undergraduate General Education courses, and any core or elective degree course at their level of study provided they meet the course pre-requisites.
During the summer, you can participate on our signature study abroad experiential course – A Walk Across Greece! This optional experiential learning course is offered intensively over the span of one week prior to the start of each summer term. The course takes students on a journey across the country for a series of interactive excursions exploring the history of Greece through day hikes, walking tours, and guided visits to regional museums, historical sites and famous monuments. Traveling from the Homeric epic of the Bronze age to the 19th century War of Independence, students follow the footprints of 5,000 years of history, covering over 1,000 kilometers of geography with on-site lectures and group discussions.

Global Learning Collective - Virtual Internship
The Global Virtual Internship is a team-based internship experience contributing to a sustainable future for all. The main objective of the Global Virtual Internship is to connect talented students to solve real-world organizational challenges related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), giving students a platform to professionally and personally develop their intercultural competencies and prepare to become global leaders with the know-how to successfully navigate in a multicultural environment. The Global Virtual Internship experience promotes leadership development, intercultural competence, and immersive virtual learning.

Campus b - Brazil-based and Virtual Internships
Campus b has been offering top-notch international education experiences since 2010. Over the years, nearly 300 students from 30 universities from all over the world have passed through our internship programs.
