Covid Vaccine Mandatory for Students

St. Francis College will require that all students receive a full COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of coming to campus and accessing College buildings (including the residence hall) during the 2021-2022 academic year.

All students must submit a complete Proof of Vaccination form with supporting documentation by August 1, 2021.

Before the August 1, 2021 deadline, students may seek an exemption from the mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement for medical or religious reasons.

Students requesting an exemption due to a medical reason or because of a sincerely held religious belief must complete the Proof of Vaccination form and indicate their exemption request on it. They will receive an email with further instructions. Please contact Caitlin McGuire in the Office of Accessibility and Accommodations if you have any questions.

It is critical for the College to obtain information about vaccination rates in order to make informed decisions about in-person campus activity, COVID-19 testing, masking and social distancing, quarantine and screening requirements, and how to reduce transmission of COVID-19 in the campus community.

Please note that our knowledge and understanding of the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccinations continues to evolve, and SFC will continue to monitor and rely on the most up-to-date scientific information, public health guidelines, and federal, state and local requirements available to make informed decisions about College operations.

Our policies and plans will be updated as appropriate as more information becomes available and we will continue to provide regular updates to the campus community.

Even though vaccinations are required of all students and strongly encouraged for faculty and staff at this time, the health and safety requirements on campus are still in place until further notice.

All persons coming to campus must continue to have a temperature screen, fill out the health screening form, maintain social distance and mask wearing. We hope that continued progress in vaccination and additional guidance will provide the College greater confidence in easing restrictions on campus as we head into the fall semester.

Please direct any questions regarding SFC's vaccination policy to the Back to Brooklyn Taskforce at [email protected]. You can also find information at sfc.edu/backtobk.
