Second Annual Entrepreneurial Women's Leadership Forum

The St. Francis College Center for Entrepreneurship hosted the Second Annual Entrepreneurial Women's Leadership Forum on November 5, 2015 featuring Ita Ekpoudom (CEO, Tigress Ventures), Dorraine Burrell (Founder & CEO, The GlamCase), and Mia Hall (Community Manager, Barclays Center).

Speaker Bios:

Ita Ekpoudom, CEO, Tigress Ventures
Ita is the Founder & CEO of Tigress Ventures, an advisory and consulting firm with a mission to engage, educate, and elevate the next generation of successful female business leaders and investors. Previously, Ita held product management roles at TravelClick and American Express. Ita began her career at Goldman Sachs as an Analyst in Credit Capital Markets and a Trader of Preferred Stock. Ita holds an AB, cum laude, in Psychology, with a certificate in Finance, from Princeton University, and an MBA, with concentrations in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management, from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She is Chair of the Women Entrepreneur Council and President of the Alumnae Association of W.O.M.E.N. in America, a professional development group aimed at advancing promising professional women.

Dorraine Burrell, Founder & CEO, The GlamCase
Dorraine is a recognized business development professional with a foundation in sales. Dorraine has a track record for building strong, profitable, commercial relationships through her work with market leading firms in a variety of industries. Experienced in successfully launching ambitious new business ventures with an emphasis on customer acquisition, conversion, and retention, Dorraine's entrepreneurial history includes the founding and successful exits of Define YourSelf Salons™ and Billie™, a luxury clothing brand. Her latest venture The GlamCase, is the premier haute beauty service for warm skin tones. Dorraine holds a BA in Economics from Columbia University and an MBA in Marketing & Product Development from the NYU Stern School of Business.


Mia Hall, Community Manager, Barclays Center
Mia is a speaker who helps women break out their comfort zone and into their dreams careers, specifically in the sports industry. She is currently a community manager at Barclays Center and a content producer. She has over 10 years if sports experience working with organizations such as the WNBA, NY Knicks, and writing for outlets such as Black Enterprise, SLAM Magazine, and ESPNW. Mia has a bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Hampton University and Master's degree in Education from Harvard University. When she is not speaking, mentoring, or planning community events, she shares her stories, advice, and musings on her personal blog: Mia's Full Court Press.
