St. Francis College Selected for Department of Education's Second Chance Pell Program

St. Francis College is one 67 higher-education institutions selected by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) to take part in the expanded Second Chance Pell Sites Initiative, a program that allows incarcerated women and men to use federal financial aid for college education.

5th Annual St. Francis College Women's Film Festival Wraps, Announces Winners

Despite a coronavirus pandemic causing millions of people to stay sheltered indoors, the 5th Annual SFC Women's Film Festival - and the first SFC Women's Film Fest to be created by a class of 14 students teleconferencing in in from both coasts - successfully screened 44 films over five days on the web platform Zoom.

Message From the President: Remote Instruction Extends Through Summer 2020

St. Francis College will continue to hold all classes remotely (online) through summer 2020. That includes all classes for May Intersession, as well as Summer Intersessions 1, 2 and 3. No events will take place on campus until further notice.

Students who lead the St. Francis College Nursing Club recently arranged a donation of 500 surgical masks to the Cobble Hill Health Center, a not-for-profit long and short term care facility in Brooklyn providing services to the disabled and elderly, and to the NYPD 76th Precinct.

St. Francis College's counseling professionals are among the 6,000 New Yorkers volunteering to the staff the New York State COVID-19 Emotional Support Line, offering support to people struggling to cope emotionally with the impact of the coronavirus pandemic in their lives.
