Dr. Barrera has a track record of founding, opening, leading and managing healthcare companies to a level of great sustainability, professional relationships and revenue. Aside from his clinical duties, he executes administrative duties. His clinical areas of interest include physical medicine, musculoskeletal medicine and orthopedics. He has always had a passion for executive leadership and management; before becoming a physician, he held various managerial roles for various healthcare systems/hospitals. In addition to his role at OneCare Health, Dr. Barrera also serves as the CEO of SpeedySticks, a New York City-based mobile healthcare concierge company with operations nationwide which he founded. From 2017-2019, he served as the founder and CEO of HealthCare Navigation Consultants, a private New York City-based healthcare consulting firm that was absorbed by a non-profit. He is currently in both hospital and private practice where he sees patients. He also partakes in pro-bono work and community service. Dr. Barrera has been featured on NY1 News, Staten Island Advance and SI live. During his free time, he enjoys fitness, traveling, and research.
