My favorite moment is when I enrolled and made the commitment to become a student at SFC. Aside from everyone welcoming me with open arms, I felt a connection because of the campus’s location. My late father used to work in the area, and over the years I have become more familiar with and fascinated by the neighborhood and its history. It’s become a huge part of me. I took comfort in knowing this was my school and that I would be in the Brooklyn Heights area I have grown to love so much. When I heard the campus was moving, I was heartbroken because this place holds deep meaning for me. I know I will miss it a great deal. It’s bittersweet, but I know nothing lasts forever.
