As St. Francis College prepares to move from our current home in Brooklyn Heights to a new state-of-the-art facility in Downtown Brooklyn, this page will serve as a forum for members of the College community to look back on nearly 60 years of SFC history at 180 Remsen Street — and for students, alumni, faculty and staff to share memories from their time at the campus we will soon vacate.
Though SFC will be moving to a new location, at 179 Livingston Street, we will be “packing up” many of our cherished traditions to take with us and, undoubtedly, create new ones at our new home. As SFC moves forward, we do so with our feet firmly grounded in our past and our eyes oriented toward the future.

Suzanne Palau ’90B.S., Business Management

“Turning up the block from the N train station and seeing the big banners waving in the wind always brought a sense of calm to me. Passing the gold-trimmed doors of the old entrance...”
Thomas Meyers ’04B.A., English
“I was an evening student for six years. At 30 years old, I was the oldest of the group. I miss all my friends, both evening and day students.”

In celebration of St. Francis College's Irish roots, SFC students, faculty, staff and alumni proudly march in the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Moreover, three alumni — Thomas J. Cuite ’35, Michael J. Gibbons ’62 and Peter T. King ’65 — have served as the parade’s Grand Marshal.
