Professor Ryan has taught Political Science at SFC since 2014. His courses have included Comparative Government, International Relations, American National Government, and Metropolitan Government and Politics. His full-time job is serving as Public Information Officer for the City of Bayonne, New Jersey, a position he has held since 1996. Before that, Joe worked as a research scholar at Freedom House in Manhattan. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service, an M.A. in Government, and a Ph.D. in Government at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. His wife teaches at a Catholic elementary school in New Jersey. They are the parents of two adult sons.
