Dozens of St. Francis College students and employees – along with members of the broader Brooklyn Heights community – received free COVID-19 tests on August 25th, thanks to a collaboration between the College and Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE), a national non-profit whose work includes increasing access to such tests in New York City.

St. Francis College joins higher education institutions across the country to celebrate the achievements of Black Americans and recognize their central role in U.S. history, as the College commemorates this year's Black History Month, held annually in February.

It is with much sadness that St. Francis College announces the passing of Brother George Larkin, O.S.F. this morning, August 17, 2009. Bro. George graduated from St. Francis College in 1960, returning in 1971 to spend more than 35 years in the admissions office, personally recruiting tens of thousands of young men and women who went on to attend the College.

With the goal of helping to make better sense of our place in an evolving world, St. Francis College English Professor Gregory Tague edited his latest collection, Being Human: Call of the Wild (Editions Bibliotekos), an anthology featuring fifteen stories by twelve authors.

Students, faculty and leaders of St. Helen's School and St. Francis College gathered on a sunny, Monday morning, November 14, to celebrate the partnership that will enable top ranked St. Francis College to share higher education resources with the students of St. Helen's School.

The Women's Sports Foundation (WSF), in collaboration with espnW and Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), today released its 40 FOR 40 list of forty women, including St. Francis College Director of Athletics, Irma Garcia, who made a significant impact on society after playing sports in high school or college during the forty years of the Title IX era. The honorees will be recognized as part of a 40 FOR 40 event on June 21 at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC. The supporting sponsor of the event is Scripps Networks Interactive.

The New York State Department of Education selected St. Francis College to launch and run a Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) that will prepare students from under-represented populations for careers in medicine, health and other fields that require professional licenses.
