							New York State Department of Education Selects St. Francis College for Cstep
				The New York State Department of Education selected St. Francis College to launch and run a Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) that will prepare students from under-represented populations for careers in medicine, health and other fields that require professional licenses.

Miguel Martinez-Saenz and the Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn invite the SFC community to join the 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge to deepen understanding of racial inequity, learn and reflect on past and recent racial injustices, and enrich your knowledge about the significant sacrifices and contributions of African Americans.

							St. Francis College Graduates Nearly 400 Students This Spring
				St. Francis College awarded 392 students undergraduate and graduate degree sthis spring, capping off an unprecedented academic year that started with an exceptionally large cohort of new students enrolling and ended with period of remote instruction to help safeguard the College community against the COVID-19 pandemic.

							St. Francis College Launches Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Scholarship for High-Achieving Transfer Students
				Members of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society will receive an annual $500 Scholarship when they transfer as a full-time student to St. Francis College. Local PTK chapters at community colleges invite students to become members when they meet certain academic criteria, which generally includes achieving a3.5 grade point average.

							St. Francis College Athletics Reveals Brooklyn Tough Pop-Up Shop
				The St. Francis College Athletics Department revealed the Brooklyn Tough Pop-up Shop, which will run from June 11-26. Brooklyn Tough and Terrier Strong branded gear is on sale for a limited time, with all proceeds going towards the St. Francis Athletics Student-Athlete Opportunity Fund.

							Fall 2020 Course Instruction: Update From Jennifer Lancaster, ph.d.
				"While we intend that some fall 2020 courses will be taught in an online-only format, we are planning to allow some students to be able to attend in-person classes and labs at least one day each week on campus. Others will be able to attend for other face-to-face educational opportunities."

							Fall 2020 Reopening Plans: Update From President Miguel Martinez-Saenz
				The St. Francis College Committee for Reopening – which consists of a coordinating committee and ten working groups headed by SFC Associate Dean Monica Michalski and Executive Director of Human Resources Richard Grasso – is currently constructing comprehensive recommendations for a phased return to campus. Constituents across the campus are providing input.Our intent is to complete our planning for fall 2020 by August 1st.
