Michael Tessler is an assistant professor at St. Francis College, Brooklyn and a Research Associate at the American Museum of Natural History. Michael’s research focuses on phylogenomics, environmental DNA, and natural history. He co-authored the second edition of Phylogenomics: A Primer and his work on leeches, carnivorous plants, and packrat middens have been featured in media outlets such as the New York Times.
