Under the terms of the agreement, graduates of Bronx Community College with an associate degree in science in the biology option may transfer to St. Francis College and, after two years, graduate from SFC with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Those who qualify will be eligible for renewable scholarships (of $14,000 annually), merit-based aid and need-based aid from SFC.

The Curriculum Committee at St. Francis College recently approved major changes to the Communication Arts curriculum to help attract more students and better prepare them for careers in a constantly shifting media landscape. Faculty also voted to change the name of the department to Media and Communication.

This semester, St. Francis College launched its first master’s degree program in education, the M.S.Ed. in special education, for which there is considerable demand throughout New York City and State.

The Fellows Program will bring to SFC during the 2022-2023 academic year five professionals with expertise in human rights, global anti-Muslim racism and Islamophobia, ethical and spiritual dimensions of human rights, politically and socially engaged art, and digital media and broadcasting.

On April 25 and 26, the Department of Nursing at St. Francis College sponsored its first-ever Nursing Research Days.
