SFC Hosts Spring '20 Lecture Series, Interpreting the 60s
The legacy of 1960s' activism will be the focus of this spring's St. Francis College Senior Citizens Lecture Series, a set of presentations and discussions that bring together SFC students, local senior citizens and the general public to learn from experts and exchange ideas with each other.

SFC Names First Cohort of Internship Opportunity Fund Participants, With Support From Northfield Bank Foundation
St. Francis College finished assembling its first cohort of Internship Opportunity Fund (IOF) participants this month, providing financial support to a group of students who would otherwise be unable to take advantage of high-quality, unpaid internships. IOF is supported by a grant from Northfield Bank Foundation.

Former Brazilian Finance Minister Dr. Nelson Barbosa Visits SFC
Brazil's former Minister of Finance Dr. Nelson Barbosa spoke about current Brazilian economics and politics with students in Dr. Olivia Bullio Mattos' class, "Tracking the US Economy and Monetary Policy," on December 9th. The lecture was part of a visit to St. Francis College that also included meeting with SFC President Miguel Martinez-Saenz about the College's long-standing relationships with Brazilian students and institutions.

Highlighting the unique ability of New York area Congress members to collaborate with each other across party lines, United States Representative and St. Francis College alumni Peter T. King '65 (R-NY 2nd District) spoke about growing up in New York City and his career in elected politics to a nearly 200-person audience at St. Francis College on November 18th.
