Nursing Program Featured in National Publication

The St. Francis College Nursing Program, which now offers a new four-year BSN program, was featured this week in an article for nurse.com. The article, which features Chair of the Department Susan Saladino, RN, Ph.D. and Adjunct Lecturer Michael Valenti, RN, MS, focuses on the importances of mentoring in nursing education.

Chirlane McCray acceptrf the award on behalf of her husband, Mr. de Blasio Serving as Masters of Ceremonies were clinical psychologist Dr. Jeff Gardere, entertainment visionary Ralph McDaniels and attorney Jacqueline McMickens.

SFC Professor Publishes Article on Phony Halloween Fears

St. Francis College Sociology and Criminal Justice Professor Emily Horowitz wrote a piece for The Huffington Post entitled, "Manufacturing Fear: Halloween Laws for Sex Offenders." In the article she writes about new laws and proposals that are aimed at reducing a threat to children that she says does not exist.
