Man Booker Prize Winner and National Book Award Finalist Marlon James will return to St. Francis College as an instructor in the College's Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program this summer, joining a roster of accomplished professional writers guiding students fully online.

Concerts at Half Past Twelve wraps up its spring season with Compositions from Beethoven to Debussy and Poulenc, a performance by renowned pianists Zelma Bodzin and Marioara Trifan playing compositions together on one piano.

Associate Professors of History Dr. Eric Platt and Dr. Sara Rzeszutek will lead campus-wide efforts to revise introductory college-level history courses thanks to a $1.65 million grant awarded to the American Historical Association's (AHA) "History Gateways" program by the Andrew W. The holidays came early for more than 200 New York Road Runners Youth Programs (NYRRYP) kids who received gifts of running shoes from a visiting Santa. On Saturday at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, kids from six Mighty Milers and Young Runners sites gathered to eat pizza, play games and do hip-hop with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause's kid Rocky, the St. Francis mascot.

From nearly 40 submissions, the jury for the first ever St. Francis College Literary Prize has selected a short list of four authors who will now compete for the $50,000 award which will be announced at the Gala Opening Night Party of the Brooklyn Book Festival on September 12. The authors are: Chris Abani, Song For Night (Akashic Books); Aleksandar Hemon, Love and Obstacles (Riverhead Books); Jim Krusoe, Girl Factory (Tin House Books) and Arthur Phillips, The Song Is You (Random House).
