St. Francis College has been approved for a $20,000 Grants for Arts Projects award to support The Blues Society, a documentary film directed by Augusta Palmer, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Communications Arts.

Rare Firsthand Account of Blues Legend Robert Johnson, Part of SFC Student Discussion
In an April 20, 2021, online discussion with the St. Francis College popular music class taught by Brian Gregory, Ed.D., assistant professor of communication arts, Augusta Palmer, Ph.D., associate professor of communication arts, moderated a discussion with writer Preston Lauterbach and 95-year-old Annye C. Anderson in which she reflected on her youth with blues legend Robert Johnson prior to his death in 1938 at the age of 27 and her lifelong connection with his musical legacy.
