Forty-seven short films by women from thirteen countries vied to be among the eleven winners of the St. Francis College 4th Annual Women's Film Festival, a three-day event honoring women's contributions to cinema and showcasing the work of emerging filmmakers from around the globe.

St. Francis College Science Students Monitor Local Water Quality
Working in collaboration with Dr. Victoria Ruiz, Assistant Professor of Biology and Health Promotion, a team of six undergraduates and one recent grad signed on for a 20-week project to monitor the quality of local waterways. St. Francis College is one of eleven partner labs in the New York City Water Trail Association's annual Citizens Water Quality Testing (CWQT) Program.

St. Francis College Graduates Nearly 400 Students This Spring
St. Francis College awarded 392 students undergraduate and graduate degree sthis spring, capping off an unprecedented academic year that started with an exceptionally large cohort of new students enrolling and ended with period of remote instruction to help safeguard the College community against the COVID-19 pandemic.

St. Francis College Launches New Hub for Faculty Development
Debuting in spring 2021, the Center for the Advancement of Faculty Excellence (the CAFE) is a new locus for faculty development within the College's Office of Academic Affairs. Under the leadership of Molly Mann, Ph.D., its new director, the CAFE hosts workshops, administers programs and offers individualized coaching that will enrich student instruction, ultimately enabling students – particularly from populations historically under-represented in higher education – to meet intended learning outcomes.

Reflections at the World Trade Center and Franciscan Responses to 9/11 St. Francis Professors Commemorate and Reflect on Tragedy
As the attacks of 9/11 move further into the past, St. Francis Professors Francis Greene & Brother Edward Wesley, spoke about how memorials and a Franciscan approach to the events help people commemorate and reflect on the tragedy at a talk on November 7 in the St. Francis Maroney Forum for Arts, Culture and Entertainment.

St. Francis College now houses the first Troops to Teachers (TTT) office in New York State, thanks to a collaboration between the College and the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE), and a grant from the federal government.
