							Winter Commencement Kicks Off New Year
				St. Francis College is pleased to host the 2013 Winter Commencement for College graduates from the past summer and fall semesters at St. Charles Borromeo Church on Wednesday January 16, beginning with a Baccalaureate Mass at 2:00pm, followed by the Winter Commencement Ceremony at 3:00pm.

							St. Francis College Mourns Passing of Frank J. Macchiarola '62
				It is with much sadness that St. Francis College announces the passing of the College's Chancellor, past-President and alumnus Frank J. Macchiarola '62 on Tuesday, December 18, 2012.
Chancellor Macchiarola returned to his alma mater, St. Francis College, as its President in 1996. It was a homecoming that benefitted everyone involved. The College flourished under his 12 year tenure and Dr. Macchiarola relished the time he spent with current and former students.

				Psychology Professor Kristy Biolsi offers this insightful and in depth look at what goes on in the minds of a sea lion. Her presentation comes from the work she has done with sea lions and other pinnipeds (walruses, seals, sea lions) at aquariums in San Diego and on Long Island.

				The words of Walt Whitman painted the picture of life during war time as the St. Francis College Honors Program with The Walt Whitman Project presented The Sun Rises, But Shines Not: Walt Whitman's Civil War, a reading of Whitman's poetry and prose.

							Freedom Summer Revisted at SFC
				A cast of mostly St. Francis College students turned the clock back to the summer of 1964 in Mississippi for a staged reading of the play Freedom Summer by William Tucker, a reporter and writer who volunteered during that explosive summer as a freedom rider.

							Terriers Water Polo Dominates Air Force for Third Place at Ncaa Final Four
				The St. Francis College Men's Water Polo season capped it's most successful season ever with a dominating performance over Air Force in the consolation game at the NCAA Final Four.

							Annual Student Recognition Award Honers Five Young Women
				Out of more than 2,700 students at St. Francis College, a group of four professors singled out five young women to honor their academic excellence with an annual Student Recognition Award.
