A 9 year old girl walks in to the New York Public Library and steps out on an alphabetical adventure in the new short film, A is for Aye Aye: An Abecedarian Adventure, planned by St. Francis College Communication Arts Professor Augusta Palmer.

Valedictorian Matthew Delfino '14 delivered a spirited and emotional address to nearly 400 of his classmates during the St. Francis College Spring Commencement held May 13 at Brooklyn Academy of Music.

When the class of nearly 400 students graduates from St. Francis College on Tuesday, May 13 at Spring Commencement, the College will also say goodbye to Dr. Francis Greene, a cultural studies professor who taught at St. Francis for 46 years.

Alan Astro, Professor of Languages & Literature at Trinity University, speaks about Elie Wiesel's Night, the archetypal Holocaust survivor account which was originally published in Yiddish. Critics have claimed that the translations into French and English mute Wiesel's anger at the non-Jewish world and casts the Holocaust in Christian, rather than Jewish, terms. This presentation will show how the charge is unfair. Rather, the original and the translations of Night blend Jewish and Christian world-views.

Spencer Educational Foundation, Inc. has awarded St. Francis College a $50,000 grant to develop new modules that will teach Risk Management to entry level and upper level management and finance students at the College. The grant is funded by RIMS, the risk management society.
