SFC Statement on Immigration and Refugee Executive Order
St. Francis College was founded in 1859 by Franciscan Brothers from Ireland to educate Irish immigrants and help them assimilate and succeed in New York City. The demographics of Brooklyn have changed over the years, but the mission has not. St. Francis still proudly educates immigrants, now from dozens of countries around the world, many the first in their family to attend college.

Tree Frogs + Sea Turtles = Amazing Study Abroad Program
While the sound of howling nor'easter winds were keeping some New Yorkers up at night this winter, a group of St. Francis College students and professors were dealing with an entirely different ruckus disturbing their sleep, tree frogs.The group was part of the Partners in the Parks program at the U.S. Virgin Islands National Park.

An experienced CPA with an amazing ability to see the big picture and solve the small problems, June McGrisken '76 decided to put her skills to work helping her alma mater, St. Francis College, through a period of growth as well as economic challenges brought on by the recent recession.Now, after 15 years at St. Francis, McGrisken is retiring.

Women's Work Friday Night Film Series
Four St. Francis College professors join with the Women's Leadership Alliance at the First Unitarian Congregational Society to present the Women's Work Friday Night Film Series, beginning Friday, January 20 at 6:30pm at the First Unitarian Chapel on Pierrepont Street between Clinton and Monroe Place in Brooklyn Heights.
