Submissions Now Open for 4th Annual St. Francis College Women's Film Festival
Submissions are now open online for the 2019 festival, which runs from April 4-6, 2019 and will screen films in seven different categories including female student and non-student Narrative Shorts, Documentary Shorts, Animated Shorts, Virtual Reality/Immersive, Experimental, and Youth Shorts.

St. Francis College Professor Co-Authors Book on Cheating
Dr. Steven M. Lipson, Professor of Biology & Health Promotion at St. Francis College, co-authored the book Cheating in Academia: Innovative Tactics, Insidious Ploys, and Defensive Rationale, published this past winter. Lipson and co-authors Dr. Lorraine Findlay of Nassau Community College and Dr. Laina Karthikeyan of New York City College of Technology examined why students cheat and how they do it.

Students who lead the St. Francis College Nursing Club recently arranged a donation of 500 surgical masks to the Cobble Hill Health Center, a not-for-profit long and short term care facility in Brooklyn providing services to the disabled and elderly, and to the NYPD 76th Precinct.

St. Francis College and Wall Street Bound Partner to Prep Under-Represented Students for Careers on Wall Street
More than a dozen St. Francis College students recently wrapped up an innovative online boot camp that aims to prepare young people from underrepresented populations for careers on Wall Street.With IHS Markit as the sponsor, SFC partnered with Wall Street Bound, Inc., a non-profit that delivered a three-week curriculum of workshops and guest speakers focused on building students' professional skills and providing them mentorship.

St. Francis College Launches New Hub for Faculty Development
Debuting in spring 2021, the Center for the Advancement of Faculty Excellence (the CAFE) is a new locus for faculty development within the College's Office of Academic Affairs. Under the leadership of Molly Mann, Ph.D., its new director, the CAFE hosts workshops, administers programs and offers individualized coaching that will enrich student instruction, ultimately enabling students – particularly from populations historically under-represented in higher education – to meet intended learning outcomes.
