St. Francis College conferred degrees to 121 students this February, the first cohort of graduates to complete a full semester under the College's new course instruction model created to contend with the COVID-19 pandemic.

St. Francis College awarded 335 students undergraduate and graduate degrees this spring, capping off an academic year that began with welcoming the College's largest ever first-year class and ending with the promise of a significant re-opening of campus facilities for the fall 2021 semester.

When almost 200 students from East New York Prep Charter School spent the day at St. Francis College, a camera and two St. Francis Communications Arts students captured the experience, turning the video and interviews into a story like any seen on a local newscast. It was the latest effort from SFC TV, a burgeoning collection of news stories and features about St. Francis College; reported, shot and produced by the College's students.

Another Record for Enrollment at St. Francis College
More than 570 members of the Fall 2009 incoming freshman class will be attending Terrier Monday, August 31, making this the second year in a row that St. Francis College has set a record for largest incoming class. In addition, more than 60 of those students have been admitted into the College's Honors Program, allowing them to attend small seminars on topics like; New York New York: From the Great Depression to the present Economic Downturn, Contemporary Islam: It's Socio-Economic Context and Understanding the Environment.

Annual Yom Hashoah Observance at St. Francis College
Famed Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal faced a major moral question in his book, The Sunflower; an SS officer on his deathbed confessed to committing numerous atrocities and was now asking Wiesenthal for forgiveness, what should he do? That real-life scenario was the core of the talk by Philosophy Professor Jeffrey Bernstein at the annual St. Francis College observation of Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, on Thursday, April 16.
