SFC Biology Professor in Forefront of Antivral Research
New research from Steven M. Lipson, Professor of Biology and Health Promotions at St. Francis College could pave the way to use plant chemicals to prevent thousands of children from being killed each year by an intestinal virus.
The work by Dr. Lipson (Principal Investigator) and colleagues sets the stage for using natural plant chemicals (from cranberries, grapes and green tea) to combat intestinal viruses like rotavirus. In third world countries, hundreds of thousands of infants and young children die every year from rotavirus, which causes diarrhea, fever, and cramps.

SFC Awarded $50,000 Grant for Risk Management
Spencer Educational Foundation, Inc. has awarded St. Francis College a $50,000 grant to develop new modules that will teach Risk Management to entry level and upper level management and finance students at the College. The grant is funded by RIMS, the risk management society.

SFC Professor Curates Exhibition on World Music Innovators
